SAINTS OF THE MONTH: Everyone should feel great about the work we did for the community at the Freedom Ride. We want to give a special thanks to Ren and Debbie Large for all the work with silent auction and barrel of cheer booths. We also want to give a great big thank you to Sue from the VFW for donating back over $300 from her split the pot winnings that day.
2011 Freedom Ride: Amazing day and ride. We had over 250 bikes registered, super bands, and a day we will always remember. The smoothness and great vibe of the day has to be accredited to the good organization and commitment of the volunteers and the great training of John Blessing over the years :).
2011 Conceal Carry Class: Armed and Delirious! Thanks Torsten for putting together a quality class: great instruction, insight, and afternoon spent bonding at the range. If interested, there will be other opportunities for advanced tactical training.
2011 Fernbank Open: DATE: September 10th. The Fernbank Open is the premier Goodtimer Golf Outing. The time is 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM and the cost is $15 /person. There will be unlimited golf, games, prizes, and cheap beer.
2011 APPLE CORP GAME POSTPONED: We have decided to postpone this titanic struggle in lieu of a fund raiser being sponsored by the Greater Cincinnati Dental Lab. Deron, Bob and Kenny are organizing a Poker Run/Car Rally and Party to raise funds to support the son of a very good friend who died in a motorcycle accident recently. The event is Saturday, September 17th. Bike Registration is at 9:00 am and leaves at 11:00 at Eli’s Sports Bar, 3825 Kraus Ln, Ross, Oh. It’s just off of 128 and new Colerain. The ride ends at and the party begins at Indian Creek Tavern, 6206 Main Street, Reily, Oh. If you’re not riding the party starts at 1:00 pm and music begins at 1:30 until 7:00 pm. Music by Wayne Davis and Right Turn Clyde. Door Prizes, Raffles, Food and Split the Pot. The Greater Cincinnati Dental Lab has continuously supported Goodtimer Events. Let’s support them in this one.
2011 Brightleaf: DATE: September 23/24 Night Golf, Fast Eddies, and Drinking. There will be plenty of golf and chaos. Talk to Sarge if interested.
2011 Hot Dog Roast and Bond Fire: DATE: October 1st: Finish out the summer with 101 ways to roast a hotdog and bond fire party at the Scherz Family Compound on the River. Boats, Tents, DJ, and Fireworks.
2011 Wine Trail: DATE: November 5th: The plan is to meet at Miamitown park and ride at 9:30am. We can carpool from there or meet to ride. We will head down the historic 56 river run into Vevay where we will stop at The Ridge Winery. We will then head into Madison Indiana where we can go to the Thomas Family Winery, Madison Vineyards Estate Winery, and Lanthier Winery, and maybe do some shopping in Madison? Then we will head back into Vevay, and check in at the Ogle Haus. They are having downtown Vevay, the Sleepy Hollow Fall Celebration, where there will be arts crafts, live music, and plenty of nice restaurants to eat dinner, and friendly watering holes to drink at. Spend the night at the OGLE HAUS, then up in the am to have breakfast, check out and finish the wine trail with two more winery’s Stream Cliff Winery, then finish at Ertel Cellars Winery in Batesville, to complete the trail and get our complementary Wine glasses, then back to the park and ride. Reservations: Everyone will be responsible for making their own reservations! 812-427-2020 Room Rates are anywhere between $99 to $200+ a night. Belterra owns the Ogle Haus so they do offer a shuttle to the casino for free, if you feel lucky!
