Congratulations: After a recount of the Sergeant at Arms ballots a whole lot of “Hanging Chads” were discovered and Tim Burke was the winner!
Gentleman, the board has been discussing the funding of Memorial Bricks next to and surrounding our Goodtimers brick for our support of fallen Goodtimers and their families. These bricks are $75 a piece and that includes engraving. A vote will be held at November’s meeting for approval.
2013 Fristoe’s 6th Annual Chili Cookoff: The 6th Annual Battle for the “Left Handed Ladle” Chili Cookoff! Multiple bands and bon fires, Twenty something chili entries, an ice cream booth, and enough gaseous release to put John Glen back on the moon! Definitely “Good Time Had by All!”
2013 UC Football: DATE: November 9th, 12:00 PM Game Time WHERE: Nippert Stadium. UC vs SMU, Tickets were purchased and $33 per ticket will be due preferably at the meeting, or during the Tail Gating Extravaganza.
2013 Freedom Ride Appreciation Party: DATE: November 15th WHERE: VFW. Adults only Freedom Ride Appreciation Partay!!!!
2013 Monte Carlo/Texas Hold’em: DATE: November 23rd @ 5:00 PM WHERE: 3706 Glenmore Ave. Cheviot. Admission free!! Free Pop and Snacks!!! 2013 GT Bowling Tournament: DATE: November 24th @ 1:30 PM WHERE: Heid’s Lanes. Following up on last year’s success, we will have another mixed doubles tournament. This is on a Bengal’s bye week. Sign up at the meeting and bring some friends.
2013 GT Support Our Troops Fund Raiser: DATE: November 27th @ 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM WHERE: Quaker Steak and Lube. Come on out and support our troops on the biggest party night of the year. From 11am until 10pm Quaker Steak will donate 20% of all bills presented with the attached Support Our Troops Flyer! Please forward this Flyer to everyone you know!
2013 Day After Thanksgiving Golf Outing: DATE: November 29th WHERE: Circling Hills. Guess What? It’s on a Friday. Sign up if you are going. Bud needs a head count to secure enough tee times.
2013 Christmas Party: DATE: December 8th @ 4:00 PM WHERE: The Moose Lodge. The Goodtimers will supply a ½ barrel and pizza, $1 can beer will also be available. Sign up so we can get an accurate head count for food, and remember to bring a wrapped gift for children attending with your family.
2013 Adult Christmas Party: DATE: December 11th @ 6:30 PM WHERE: Great Question! Location is a mystery, but the Food, Drink, and Attendees will be fabulous! Looks like the docket is full so you all know what you’re getting in to!
2013 Christmas Caroling: DATE: December 19th @ TBD WHERE: The Knotty Pine. Gentleman get your vocals tuned up. Time to show off our skills; all Tenor, Baritones, and Basses please sign up. Sopranos, you should be ashamed of yourselves!
2014 Special Olympics: DATE: January 8th or 15th? Gentlemen please bring old gloves, scarves, coats and hats to the meetings.
2014 XXXI Ski Trip: DATE: January 19th – 21st WHERE: Seven Springs. There is a sign up for bus riders again. We need 40 people to make it worth a bus. Deposits are due! $100 for trip/$150 if riding the bus!
2014 Super Bowl Party / Chili Cookoff: DATE: February 2nd WHERE: The Moose Lodge. In the spirit of a NYC superbowl, we will be holding our party outside under the pavilion. Sign up and mark your name if you will be entering a chili in the competition. Goodtimer’s will be providing the ½ barrel. Please bring a snack/side regardless if bringing chili or not.
