Theme:  Merry Christmas! The Goodtimer Choir would like to invite everyone to three holiday performances this month instead of the usual General Meeting. Repeat. No General Meeting this month.

Starting this Friday night (December 6th) @ Turfway Racetrack, the club is hosting a Night at the Races. There with be beer provided by the Goodtimers. There will be food available at the Homestretch and gambling at the Grandstand. We will work on the song list.

The second performance will be at the Goodtimer Christmas Dinner on Thursday night (December 12th) @ The Mill Course in Winton Woods. We will be singing a Christmas medley. Full Bar and dinner for those attending.

The final performance will be festive Irish drinking songs at the Knotty Pine on December 19th. We will be Christmas Caroling at the neighborhood bars.

2024 Turkey Bowl – The only muscled pulled were on the turkey legs.


2024 Night at the Races: Date: December 6th. Where: Homestretch @ Turfway Racetrack Time: 5:30 PM – 11:30 PM. Join us on at the Homestretch on the back side of Turfway Racetrack. Free Beer provided by the Goodtimers as a club event. 2024 Christmas Party: Date: December 12th Where: The Mill The bar opens at 6:00 PM. Luna Man will be MC/DJ. Prime Rib on the menu. If you still need to pay, stop by the check-in table at the venue. The choir will be performing a holiday medley. Sponsor : Sarge and Debbie Ren

2024 Texas Christmas Caroling – Date: December 14th.  The Texas Tabernacle will be caroling this Christmas. Chapter President, Doug Rudy has requested we send our lead baritone, Arnie Siegmund to solo the lead number.

2024 Knotty Pine Caroling – Date : December 19th Where: Knotty Pine When: 7:00 PM. The Choir will be reporting to the stage when Gary is good and ready. This the Gary’s way of saying thank you with a party. We will approve the final year’s board minutes. Sponsor : Thomas Scherz

2025 Super Bowl Party : Date: February 9th. Where : DipStiggy’s – The club will provide an alcohol tab and pizza. I am sure we will raffle of a bottle of whiskey. Bring the whole family. 2025 Jeff Ruby’s Stakes – Date : March 22 Where : Turfway Park Finish out the Horse Racing season at Turfway Park. This is the million-dollar day with the winner going to the Kentucky Derby. Find us at the turn.

911 Steel Opening Day Parade – Date : March 27 Where Findlay Market. The 911Steel will be in the Cincinnati Reds Opening Day Parade. Sign up to walk with the memorial.

Scholarship:  The 2026 Applications are available at Legacy Scholarship – Goodtimers AC. $500 Scholarships will be award to legacy students. The applications must be submitted each year for renewal. Crosley Field Historical Marker: The historical marker for Crosley Field is sad. We are working with the Ohio Historical Society to put in a new bronze marker highlighting the first night baseball game. We need to submit the application by May 2025. The first step is to contact the City Gospel Church who currently owns the land.
