911Steel : 9/11 Memorial Stair Run@ UC Date : September 9th. Where : Nippert Stadium. When : 7:00 AM. The 9/11 Memorial Stair Run began in 2015 as a way to commemorate the lives of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Each year students, staff, and community members attempt to run 2,071 stairs of Nippert Stadium. The eighth annual Memorial Stair Run will take place on Friday, September 9th, 2022. Registration will begin at 5:30am and the run will begin at 6:46am. Lodder Fundraiser : Date : September 10th. Where : Big Bull’s We are looking for donations to make raffle baskets for this years Christmas For Kids fundraiser, our 13th year. Saturday, September 10th 5pm at Big Bull’s in Ross. If you’ve offered donations or a made raffle basket we need them by Monday, August 22nd. We will be at Happy Hour House, 2247 Millville avenue, that evening putting everything together.We are a group of friends that volunteer to sort and pack donations in the fall to distribute near and on Christmas day. We meet kids more excited for a winter coat than the box truck full of toys that they get to pick several from. Driving between stops we’ve found small children with no winter wear shaking they were so cold and warm with winter coat, gloves, hat, food and hot chocolate when we left them. Dump motels with several kids in rooms we find are sleeping on the floor that we give pillows, blankets and last year we had the money to buy all kids in motels sleeping bags. We average handing out over 450 winter jackets in the Ross, Hamilton and Butler county area every year. Money from basket raffle and fundraiser is used to buy supplies we’re short on like socks, women’s hygiene products, pillows, games, toys and lots more.If you can help us with a made raffle baskets, baskets or items to put in them please message anyone tagged on this post.

Where : VFW in Harrison When: 10:00 AM Ride to remember the events of 9-11-2001 and to benefit the Cincinnati Fire Museum as well as various other charities. Registration starts at 10:00 at the VFW in Harrison, kick stands up at 12:00pm. The ride will end at the “Taste of Harrison” event in Harrison. Facebook Event
911 Steel Blue Ash Stair Climb : Date : September 11th Where : 1200 Summit Place,Blue Ash,45242,US When: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM Blue Ash Fire Department and Local 3203 are proud to host the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Summit Park Observation TowerIn remembrance of the 21st Anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001, Blue Ash Fire and Local 3203 is hosting the annual Memorial Stair Climb. All firefighters, police officers, and military members are encouraged to sign up to climb The Summit Park Tower the equivalent of 110 floors…symbolic of the 110 floors in the World Trade Center buildings. The Opening Ceremony will begin promptly at 0800am on Sunday, September 11th at the base of the tower including the lawn of 3000 flags, speeches, a prayer from Blue Ash Fire Chaplain, the Presentation of the Colors and Taps by The American Legion Post 630, a flyover, and a mini museum again where 9/11 Steel will have on display their 4,000lb piece of recovered WTC steel from Ground Zero. Also at the event for the first time will be The Carry On USA, Ohio Honor Log. Spectators and family members are all encouraged to come out and pay remembrance to the fallen and help us honor those on this 21st anniversary of Patriot’s Day. 911 Steel Aurora Farmer Market : Date : September 28 – October 1st Where : Aurora, IN When : All Day. We are proud to have this Special Attraction back at the fair. This will be on display every day of the fair as well as make a trip through the parade. The 911 Steel in a partnership between the Cincinnati Fire Museum and The Goodtimers Foundation. 2022 GTMC Texas Tour : Date : October. Where : San Antonio, Texas. The Motorcycle Club is heading to San Antonio, Texas. Like all of the MC events, you don’t have to ride to go. There will be a caravan traveling behind the bikes. Visiting the Texas Chapter.
2022 Goodtimer Christmas Dinner : Date : December 15th Where : Mill Event Center. When : TBD Christmas Dinner at The Mill Event Center w DJ Luna Man WGRR & WFOX. We will start taking reservations at the November Meeting.
Committee Reports:
Foundation : The foundation purchased a small refrigerator for Fred Engler and a Kohl’s and Kroger gift card to help out with some day to day needs. Freddie has developed some neurological issues, through the years has suffered through many issues, most of which can probably traced back to his car wreck in 1975.
Scholarship : We need a good showing at the Golf Outing this year to increase our scholarship amount or next year. Representative : Ren Large
