Saints of the Month:  Sue Hadley and Debbie Christman for their fight and support of Relay for Life.  These two women are amazing.  Thank you.

2016 Relay for Life:  It was cold; which made the struggle even more real.

911 STEEL – Ross Township Open House:  Fun Fact – Over 460 hotdogs were served.

2016 DC Memorial Day: The MC travelled to Washington DC to support the 29th annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle ride.   We were able to present a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns, visit Mt. Vernon on the Potomac, and take in all the Memorials.  The weather was fantastic.

2016 Night Golf: Date: June 3rd Where: Robin’s Nest  Golf and dinner is $25 per person.  Be there by 8:00 for dinner.  Tee off at twilight.  Confirm your sign up at the meeting, so we have an accurate count.

911 STEEL – Annual Fallen Firefighters Golf Outing:  Date: June 16 – 17th  Where:  The 911 Steel Artifact will be on display.

2016 Orange Beach Bash: Date: June 18th – 25th 2016. The Decade Beach Bash in Orange Beach, Alabama is almost here.  We will be celebrating a few landmark birthdays.  Anybody want to stop at the Brookside on the way back?

2016 Breast Feast: Date: June 19th – www.breastfestcincinnati.com  If you are volunteering, be there at 11:00 AM.

2016 Ken Anderson Celebrity Softball Game:  Date: July 14, 2016  Where:  Florence Freedom Ball Park.The game benefits The Ken Anderson Foundation. Our mission is to establish in the Greater Cincinnati area; a supportive living community with housing options and a community center that serves as the hub for customized supportive services including life skills, job training, recreation, education, health and supported employment.  Tickets are $20.  If we purchase 15 tickets, they will promote us in the program guide, hang a banner, and throw in an authentic Bengal’s jersy.

2016 FC Cincinnati Game : Date: July 16th  Where:  Nippert Stadium.  We are going to the FC Cincinnati v. Crystal Palace match at Nippert Stadium.  Tickets are $5.  Sign up at the meeting so that we can order tickets.

2016 Perry Park: Date: July 17, 18, 19 Where: Perry Park.  There are 2 openings available.  Contact Arnie Siegmund if interested.

911 STEEL Hillbilly Jam : Date : July 27, 28, 29 Where:  Maggie Valley, NC.  The steel will be traveling to North Carolina for the Hillbilly Jam Festival.  https://www.facebook.com/hillbillywoodstockfestival/Here are three places that she recommends, that are close to the festival site and should be reasonably priced (see, below). If they are already full or if you are just looking for other options, she can give you more names of other places close by. (Of course, if you don’t mind driving 10 or 20 miles, there are plenty of motels closer to Asheville.)

911 STEEL – Support the Steel:  Date: August 6th  Where:  Eli’s Sports Bar and Grill and Overtime Bar and Grill in Ross, US 27 and 128.    All proceeds will help fund our newest venture, the 911 World Trade Center Traveling Memorial.  Event begins at 1:00 pm with a parade from Ross High School featuring the Ross Hi band.  Included in the parade will be a horse drawn wagon transporting all GT Veterans to the event.   The Start Skydiving Team will be jumping and do a flag presentation followed by our National Anthem.   Outside Eli’s will be a family fun center featuring a dunking booth, bouncy house, face painting, presentations by the Ross Police and Fire agencies, vendors and other family activities.   Food and beer will be available throughout the afternoon and night.   Eli’s will have cornhole,  and there will be a Volleyball Tournament at Overtime Bar and Grill.  Live music starting at 1 pm at Overtime and 3 pm at Eli’s. Live Music until 1 am.  There will be split the pot and Raffles at both locations throughout the day and night.   Bring the family during the day and come enjoy the music that night.   All we’re asking from the membership is to come down and enjoy the day and evening and to bring some friends.  What a way to show off who the Goodtimers are.

2016 16th Annual Freedom Ride: Date: August 21st Where: Chan Gailey VFW on Brownsway  Registration begins at 9:00, ride leaves at 11:00, and Party starts at 2:00  Show up early, for breakfast sandwiches & coffee, by Fristoe Catering and meet the folks from 92.5 The Fox.  Price to ride is $15 solo, $20 with passenger.  Party only $5, walk-ins welcome .  Cash Prizes to Riders with best poker hands.  Look for sign ups and work dates.  We NEED door prizes and bottles of booze.  Start bringing something with you to the meeting.  We are also going to be at Quaker Steak on July 7, 14, 21, and 28

2016 Scholarship Golf Outing :  Date: August 26th  Where:  Circling Hills  11:00 AM

911 STEEL – Chilifest and 9/11 Ride:  Date: September 10th Where: Downtown Come down to Court Street downtown to have a great time and celebrate the history and traditions of Firefighting in the Cincinnati area.

2016 Briteleaf: Date: September 17th, 18th, 19th Where:  Briteleaf Deposits due at July meeting

2016 Rudy Pig Roast:  Date: September 24th  Where:  Robert and Judy’s Farm  Camping, Fishing, Fireworks, and Family Fun.  We will be celebrating Robert’s Mom’s birthday.  Sign up at the meeting.  Side Dishes : A – M  Desserts : N – Z
